UNL maintains a listing of "UNL Experts". Currently many of our Extension faculty are not found within this database. If you wish to be included, you should be sharing your interest with Leslie Reed <lreed5@unl.edu>.
Leslie asks for three pieces of information to add your name in UNL Experts:
- Your name as it currently appears in the UNL Staff and Faculty directory. This information feeds most of the database requirements of UNL Experts.
- The categories used by UNL Experts under which your information should appear. These categories appear on the left hand side of this web resource. If existing categories do not fit you, new category names can be suggested.
- A few sentence bio describing your expertise (optional). See example below used by Dick Perrin.
Nebraska Extension also maintains a database listing all Extension faculty and staff expertise and contact information. This web resource is accessible from every state, county, and district Extension home web page under the "County Offices and Directory" tab.
If you have not checked out your UNL Extension information lately, this might be a good time to confirm its accuracy. If you would like to add your photo to your individual listing, visit Planet Red http://planetred.unl.edu/ and upload a profile photo. To make any additional changes to your information, contact, Jillian Hoistad < jhoistad2@unl.edu>. Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Pinterest and Blog links can be added to your contact information, too.
Rick was wondering how this Planet Red site gets populated and how it gets updated as it does appear to be out of date - several staff have since retired or quit!
